Bed Bug Exterminator in Kaneville
Pest control and management refers to any system or measure that seeks to eliminate or regulate the population of insects considered harmful to human and animal health and the environment. Pest control in Kaneville IL requires a lot of work and resources but it is a necessity, especially for homes. Here are the reasons why pest management is important and why every homeowner should consider applying it:
1. Preventing damage to homes and structures
In the U.S., people spend about $5 billion for the repair of damages caused by termite infestation. Termites consume wood and wood products such as ply-board and paper. Once they have burrowed into the wood components of the home, they can eat beams, floorings and walls from the inside. This makes the structure weak and vulnerable to collapse, leaving household members at a risk. Termite infestation can be especially problematic in older homes and structures that have not been treated. In areas where termites are known pests, managing a home to keep it safe from termites requires constant vigilance and assistance from pest control agencies.
2. Preventing allergies
Pests can cause a range of issues in people, such as skin allergies, asthma and other respiratory problems. Bed bugs and mosquitoes, for example, are notorious for causing skin rashes. Pests can also carry certain allegens that can cause strong allergic reactions in some people. Cockroaches, for example, can cause allergies in at least 7% of the population. They are also one of the leading causes of asthma in children.
3. Avoiding diseases and other health risks
Leprosy, skin infections, urinary tract infections, Lyme disease, intestinal infections, dysentery, dengue, malaria and food poisoning are just a few of the diseases and health problems that pests can cause. They also carry a number of bacteria and viruses that can affect human and animal health. Although many of these diseases are treatable, they can cause serious health issues in children, the elderly and immune-compromised individuals, many of whom will require professional medical treatment or hospitalization. That, in turn, can translate to millions of dollars in medical costs.
4. Preventing damage and deterioration of furniture, carpets and clothes
Pest control has to be applied in order to save furniture, carpets and clothing and avoid the expenses associated with repairs and replacements. Burrowing insects are notorious for causing damage to the wooden and fabric components of furniture. Some, such as carpet bugs, moths, cockroaches and silverfish are also attracted to fabric, often using it as a source of food.
5. Maintenance of food supply
Food supply is critical to the survival of the world’s populations. On a macro economic level, it also influences the world’s economies and supports majority of today’s active industries. Without proper pest management, almost 20% of our food supply will be wasted due to consumption of rodents. Each year, millions of dollars’ worth of food is lost to rodent attacks and infestation. By controlling the threat, it is possible to keep food supplies at manageable and useful levels. On the Kaneville Illinois home-front, implementing pest control measures can help prevent food waste and contamination. Pests do not only consume food, they also leave behind undesirable organic matter such as dead skin, body parts, feces and urine, all of which can affect the quality of the food we eat.

Some Common Q & A’s
Do Electronic Pest Controllers Work?
What Levels Do They Work At? (I.E. Do They Repell Rodents As Well As Insects?)
well many of my customers have purchased them at one time or another, so I guess if they worked they wouldn't of hired me 🙂
in almost every state the Federal Trade Commission has or had some sort of lawsuit against the makers of these products
What Is The Difference In The Product That Pest Control Companies Use Vs Store Bought Pest Contol Home Defense
Very good question. I'm a pest control professional and I never lie about this stuff.
Ortho Home Defense uses bifenthrin as it's active ingredient. Bifenthrin is absolutely the #1 longest lasting, lowest toxicity pesticide on the market. That's why I use bifenthrin.
However, the difference is knowing where, how, how often, and how to apply safely. Also, sometimes it takes two or three different pesticides to do the trick.
The main reason for pest control professionals is that they have the time and motivation to learn about a bug's lifecycle, habits, food, harborage and behavior. All of this together is called Integrated Pest Management.
If you're willing to buy ten gallons of Ortho Home Defense, learn about the bugs you're trying to get rid of, and are willing to splurge on other products as necessary, and take the time to do the treatment, then by all means you can do it.
For instance, what types of ants, if you stress the colony, will actually bud into smaller colonies? What's the difference between a yellow sac spider and an agressive house spider? Should you spray for roaches or bait for them or use a dust for them? If you say dust, which one can you use in a restaurant, and where?
You could also change your own oil in your truck, clean your own carpet, clean your own pool, add the right amount of chemicals to your pool to keep the PH where it needs to be, assemble your own computer... etc.
So - you can buy stuff that's just like, or very much like, the stuff we use. My only advice is to follow the label EXACTLY! If you read the label it talks about using the product improperly is a federal offense. It's not a joke. It's the law.
Be safe, and if you hire a professional, be picky.
Can I Get In Trouble If I Don'T Let The Bed Bug Exterminator In?
I Received A Notice From My Cities Health Department Stating That I Must Participate Or Else In Eliminating The Bed Bugs In The Building By Letting The Fumigator In My Apartment. The Thing Is I Don'T Have Bed Bugs And This Is Going To Be The Third Time They Are Going To Fumigate On Such A Short Notice. Its Always A Problem Because I Have To Get All My Clothes Into Garbage Bags And Lift My Mattress From The Bed Frame. Do They Have The Right To Fumigate My Apartment? And What Are The Consequences For Not Letting Them Fumigate? They Make It Sound Like I Can Go To Jail If I Don'T Let Them Fumigate.
You should call your city's Health Department and ask them what the consequences are for not letting them fumigate.
Their number should be on the form left on your door, or look in the government pages of your phone book.
They should be able to explain why so many fumigations are necessary. If you have other concerns you could ask them also.
Also, from my understanding, bed bugs are extremely hard to get rid of. You probably don't want them infesting your bed or furniture, because if that happens you pretty much have to throw them out. Unless you are using professional grade products, your own fumigation is most likely not going to work.

Pest Control And Termite Bond?
Ok, So I Just Moved Into My First House On Saturday And I Have Seen 4 Roaches....Who Should I Call And About How Much Does It Cost
Also I Dont Have A Termite Bond, Should I Get One And About How Much Does That Cost???
I Live In Birmingham Alabama!
A pest control service for the roaches should run somewhere around $125 for the first visit and $35-40 a month after that. You're going to deal with a LOT of bugs in Alabama.
Termites will be a LOT more expensive. Did you buy the house? If you did a termite inspection should have been as part of the sale. As far as I know all the southern states require it. To protect your investment, you will eventually need some kind of termite treatment and warranty. The initial service varies in cost, depending on the size of the house, the type of construction, and the type of treatment. I used to be an exterminator in Texas. I treated homes for termites with prices ranging from $500 to $3000. Annual payments to maintain the warranty ranged from $100 to $500. Some companies provide warranty coverage that will pay for future termite damage, some don't. Your home owners insurance don't cover termites at all.
Find a reputable pest control company. Talk to the neighbors and ask for references. Make sure you understand the warranties and details of any treatments before you sign anything and pay any money.
